"I changed my mind, stop doing what's going on".
For example, closing a menu you opened if you choose not
to make a selection.
If you do that while connected to Union, it takes it very seriously
and disconnects you!
To rule out that it was my app that was doing this,
I tried it on the Orbiter chat example.
http://www.unionplatform.com/?page_id=3318
Here's a copy of the contents of the chat box.
I opened the page and typed "hi".
- Code: Select all
Connecting to Union...
Connected.
Joining chat room...
Chat ready!
Number of people now chatting: 2
User195978: hi
Then I hit ESC:
- Code: Select all
Orbiter connection closed.
Connected.
Joining chat room...
Chat ready!
Number of people now chatting: 2
Then I entered "hi" again. As can be seen, I'm now a different user.
- Code: Select all
User195979: hi
Question:
Is there something I can do to prevent this behavior?
Can I find out what is triggering the disconnect?
Added comment: This happens in Firefox, not in Google Chrome.
Second added comment:
It appears to be a Firefox weirdness:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=614304
Bug 614304 - ESC key aborts XMLHttpRequest and WebSocket
I'll leave this here in case someone else encounters it.
