mysql connection from room module

Hi fine folks of union :)

is it possible to make a connection/query from a javascript based room module. not for attribute updating but getting information and storing information in a mysql database?
i tried to follow examples to work with standard java classes but it doesn't work really. it stops working as soon as i try to make a connection.

is this possible or should i work with jar based room modules?

for my game is not necessary to save other things than per player save, but this should work:
